Since July 1, 2013, more than 650 cases of mushroom poisoning have been reported (data consolidated as of October 15, 2013) in France by poison control and toxicovigilance centers (CAPTV). One severe case was reported in an 18-month-old child whose clinical course required a liver transplant. No deaths have been reported to the CAPTV network. Nationally, in week 41 (October 7–13), the number of cases (Sicap database) and emergency room visits (Oscour® network) decreased compared to week 40.

In Brittany, 7 cases of mushroom poisoning were reported to the CAPTV, and no cases were recorded in the emergency departments of the Oscour® network.
