Key points

Asthma: Decrease in the number of emergency room visits among those under 75. Renewed increase in SOS Médecins consultations, particularly among those under 15. Levels observed above seasonal averages. Continued high activity in hospital emergency departments and SOS Médecins for ENT conditions. Viral circulation of rhinovirus/enterovirus: 44% of respiratory samples tested positive (22/50) at the Virology Laboratory of the Brest University Hospital.

Chickenpox: Increase in emergency room visits and SOS Médecins consultations, with activity exceeding seasonal averages. Low activity in primary care: incidence rate estimated at 10 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (95% CI [0.29], unconsolidated Sentinelles data).

Influenza: Launch of the seasonal influenza vaccination campaign. In Brittany, the first respiratory specimens testing positive for influenza type A were analyzed at the Virology Laboratory of the Brest University Hospital.
