Key Points

Asthma and ENT conditions: A slight decrease in asthma indicators in urban and hospital emergency departments. SOS Médecins call volumes, across all age groups, remain above seasonal averages. A sharp decrease in activity in hospital emergency departments and SOS Médecins for ENT conditions. Viral circulation of rhinovirus/enterovirus: 27% of respiratory samples tested positive (23/85) at the Virology Laboratory of the Brest University Hospital.

Bronchiolitis (children under 2 years of age)Activity remains low compared to seasonal averages. No positive samples at the Brest University Hospital since the start of the season.

Influenza and influenza-like illness: Increase in consultations at SOS Médecins among 15- to 74-year-olds compared to the previous week. Activity remains low across all age groups, both in hospital and community emergency departments, and within seasonal averages. Circulation of influenza A virus is declining at the Brest University Hospital (9% positivity rate out of 89 samples tested).
