Key Points

Heat-related illnesses: The rise in temperatures observed at the end of week 24 has led to an increase in indicators for heat-related illnesses. A heat wave has been underway since June 18 and is expected to last until at least June 22. Increases in heat-related activity have already been observed since the start of week 25, particularly in Ille-et-Vilaine and Finistère.

Enterovirus Meningitis: The number of emergency department visits for enterovirus meningitis is higher than seasonal averages.

In addition, there has been an increase in emergency department visits for isolated fever (among children under 2 years of age, hospital emergency departments) and for insect bites. (data not shown).
