In Brittany, incidence and positivity rates continue to rise in Week 43 compared to Week 42, increasing from 163 per 100,000 to 256 per 100,000 and from 10.7% to 15.2%, respectively, across all age groups. The number of confirmed cases and deaths in long-term care facilities (ESMS) is rising sharply, mainly due to the situation in Ille-et-Vilaine. The number of new hospitalizations for Covid-19 in the region has been rising sharply among those aged 65 and older since Week 41. All health indicators show an acceleration in the spread of the epidemic, mainly among the elderly.
