COVID-19

Increase in the incidence rate (IR), testing rate (TR), and positivity rate (PR). The regional (raw) IR rose from 329.5 per 100,000 inhabitants in Week 23 to 480.9 per 100,000 inhabitants in Week 24. IRs are rising in all 4 departments. Sharp increase in emergency room visits, slight increase in general care hospitalizations and calls to SOS Médecins, stabilization of critical care hospitalizations. Estimated vaccination coverage by place of residence reaches 84.6% for one dose and 83.8% for a full course.

Extreme heat, heat wave

Météo-France has placed the departments of Ille-et-Vilaine and Morbihan under an orange heat wave alert from June 16 to 18, 2022, due to an early and intense heat wave affecting a large part of mainland France. Since June 19, 2022, Brittany has once again been under a green heat wave alert. There has been a significant increase in the number of people seeking medical care for heat-related illnesses, whether in emergency rooms or through SOS Médecins, coinciding with the rise in temperatures.

Acute gastroenteritis

Moderate activity. An increase in the number of emergency room visits compared to the previous week, particularly affecting children under 5 years of age.
