Key Points
COVID-19
Increase in the incidence rate* (IR) calculated based on PCR and antigen tests. The regional IR rose from 414 per 100,000 inhabitants in Week 51 to 1,269 per 100,000 inhabitants in Week 52 (IR: 449 per 100,000 in Week 51 to 1,365 per 100,000 in Week 52, taking into account the adjustment for the holiday). A very sharp deterioration in the regional and departmental epidemiological situation, affecting all age groups, including those over 80, although the highest levels are observed among those under 50 and particularly among 15- to 34-year-olds. Estimated vaccination coverage by place of residence stands at 82.8% for a single dose and 81.7% for a full course.
Bronchiolitis
Epidemic activity, declining phase. Continued decline in emergency room visits, decrease in SOS Médecins consultations.
Influenza
Pre-epidemic activity. Viral circulation based on virology data from the Rennes University Hospital and the Brest University Hospital. Increase in SOS Médecins consultations for flu-like symptoms.
Acute gastroenteritis
High activity. Increase in the number of SOS Médecins consultations among people aged 15–74.
