CoviPrev: Epidemiological Update in Brittany. February 2021
Key Points
Adoption of protective measures and behaviors
A decline in adherence to physical distancing recommendations and an increase in risky social behaviors beginning with the lifting of the first lockdown (mid-May) and continuing through July–August 2020. Increased adoption of preventive measures starting in October.
Lower adherence to preventive measures (hygiene and physical distancing) was observed among men, people under 35, and those with low health literacy.
Mental Health
Anxiety, depression, and sleep problems associated with being in a difficult financial situation, being a woman, and having a history of psychological disorders.
During the most recent period in November, the prevalence of anxiety disorders was 20.2%, that of depressive disorders was 18.8%, and that of sleep problems was 62.8%. These prevalence rates are similar to those observed during the first lockdown.
