Health Monitoring in the Bourgogne and Franche-Comté Regions. Update as of October 27, 2022.
Key Points
COVID-19
The circulation of SARS-CoV-2 has been slowing down for the past two weeks in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, with a decrease in the incidence rate (IR) (605 per 100,000 inhabitants, -108 points) and a stable positivity rate (PR) (31%, -1.7 points), against a backdrop of reduced testing. Both indicators remain higher than the rates observed at the national level (IR=496/100,000 inhabitants, PR=26%). This downward trend is observed in all departments—even in Côte-d’Or, Nièvre, and Yonne over the past week—and across all age groups, including those over 60, who have been getting tested less frequently over the past week.
The number of new hospitalizations is decreasing after a four-week increase, while the number of new admissions to intensive care continues to rise, particularly among people aged 80 and older.
Bronchiolitis
The bronchiolitis outbreak has been present in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté for three weeks, with a trend similar to that of 2021.
The number of bronchiolitis cases reported by the SOS Médecins associations and the number of emergency room visits (Oscour) are up again this week.
