Key Points

COVID-19

  • At the regional level:

    • Viral circulation continues to rise in the BFC region for the fourth consecutive week, mirroring the trend observed nationwide. This increase affects all age groups.

    • The regional positivity rate has reached 3%, while the testing rate has risen slightly this week (2,398 vs. 2,242 in Week 1, a 7% increase).

    • The number of new hospitalizations is down slightly, and the number of new admissions to critical care remains stable.

    • The number of outbreaks in long-term care facilities remains stable across the region (between 15 and 20) and includes 3 outbreaks currently under investigation

  • At the departmental level:

    • With the exception of Nièvre (58), all departments in BFC now have an incidence rate above 50 per 100,000 inhabitants (37.3 per 100,000 for Nièvre and 119.2 per 100,000 for Jura).

Flu

Flu-related activity at SOS Médecins and emergency departments in the region remains low and stable, consistent with trends from the previous two seasons. No severe cases of flu have been reported by the 8 sentinel intensive care units.

Bronchiolitis

Activity at SOS Médecins clinics has decreased this week but remains above the levels observed during the two previous seasons. Activity at emergency departments continues to rise, with figures higher than those recorded during the same period in the two previous seasons.

Gastroenteritis

The percentage of consultations for gastroenteritis at SOS Médecins clinics has remained stable and high for several weeks, as has the rate of emergency department visits for gastroenteritis.
