Health Monitoring in the Bourgogne and Franche-Comté Regions. Update as of April 7, 2022.
Key Points
COVID-19
Following a significant spread of SARS-CoV-2 over the past two weeks (+54%), a slowdown is observed in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté this week (+14%). Incidence and positivity rates continue to rise among those aged 15 and older, particularly among those aged 65 and older, where the increases are the highest. In contrast, an initial decline in the incidence rate and positivity rate is observed among those under 15 (–11% and –8%, respectively). These results remain to be confirmed in the coming weeks. Departmental incidence rates are stable or rising and range from 1,217 (Yonne) to 1,550 per 100,000 inhabitants (Côte-d’Or).
Bronchiolitis
End of the epidemic since S04-2022
Activity at SOS Médecins clinics and emergency departments for bronchiolitis is low and within the ranges observed during the two previous seasons.
Acute gastroenteritis
The rate of visits to emergency departments for gastroenteritis remains high and is higher than in the two previous seasons.
Influenza
The region has been in an epidemic phase since week 10.
Activity among SOS Médecins and in emergency departments remains at very high levels, exceeding activity in previous seasons. The trend shown in Figure 1 should be interpreted with caution due to a lack of data transmission from SOS Médecins for two out of four associations starting February 16, 2022.
A new severe case of influenza was reported by the intensive care unit sentinel network this week (a total of 15 ICU admissions since late 2021).
Four new outbreaks of acute respiratory infections (ARIs) in group settings (11 ongoing outbreaks out of 30 reported since September 1, 2021. Among the reports, 8 are linked to influenza).
