Health Monitoring in the Bourgogne and Franche-Comté Regions. Update as of April 2, 2021.

Key Points

COVID-19

Epidemiological indicators of the COVID-19 pandemic show a high level of SARS-CoV-2 circulation. The decline in indicators among older adults suggests that vaccination and the measures implemented are having an impact. It is necessary to maintain prevention and social distancing measures, including among vaccinated individuals, given the emergence of new variants.

Influenza

Flu-related activity at SOS Médecins and emergency departments remains very low. This season, due to the active circulation of SARS-CoV-2, surveillance of flu cases admitted to intensive care has been expanded to include severe cases of COVID-19. No severe cases of flu have been reported in the region by intensive care units at this time.

Bronchiolitis

Activity related to bronchiolitis in children under 2 years of age has entered the post-epidemic phase this week. Activity in emergency departments is stable.

Gastroenteritis

Activity at SOS Médecins clinics and emergency departments has been increasing over the past few weeks and has reached levels seen in previous seasons.
