Key Points

  • Continued increase in vaccination uptake among infants subject to the expanded vaccination requirement:

    • 89.5% received a first dose of the meningococcal C vaccine (+4.4 percentage points compared to 2019)

    • 92% received the meningococcal C vaccine booster (+5 percentage points compared to 2018)

  • However, growth has leveled off for other vaccines:

    • 2.2% received a third dose of the hexavalent vaccine (+1.1 percentage points compared to 2018)

    • 92.4% received a third dose of the pneumococcal vaccine (+2.2 percentage points compared to 2018)

    • 93.8% received a first dose of the MMR vaccine (+1.2 percentage points compared to 2018)

  • Increase in vaccination coverage among children born before the law took effect:

    • +5 percentage points for the first dose of the HPV vaccine among 15-year-old girls born in 2006 (49%) compared to girls born in 2005 (44%)

    • Increase in catch-up vaccination coverage against meningococcal C across all age groups

  • Increase in influenza vaccination coverage compared to the 2019–2020 season:

    • +4.8 percentage points among people aged 65 and older
