Continued significant increase in vaccination uptake among infants born since January 1, 2018, for whom the expanded vaccination requirement applies
Regional vaccination coverage (VC) rates against DTP, pertussis, Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib), hepatitis B (3 doses), and pneumococcal disease (3 doses) are increasing: +9.4 percentage points, with a vaccination coverage rate of 91.3% for the hexavalent vaccine, and +2.3 percentage points, with a vaccination coverage rate of 91.9% for the pneumococcal vaccine.
The measles CV (2 doses) is 85.7%, with variations by department.
Vaccination coverage against meningococcal C (1st dose) reached 88.9% (+11.9 percentage points for the cohort of children born in 2020).
Increase in vaccination coverage among children born before the law took effect
Increase in catch-up vaccination coverage against meningococcal C across all age groups, but still insufficient among adolescents to achieve herd immunity
Vaccination coverage for a single dose of the HPV vaccine among 15-year-old girls is 39.6% (an increase of 5.9 percentage points) but remains very insufficient.
Increase in influenza vaccination coverage
Influenza vaccination coverage in 2020 reached 55.9%, an increase of 8.6 percentage points compared to the previous season, and reached 59.4% among people aged 65 and older, compared to 51.2% in 2019–20.
