Health Surveillance in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. Bulletin of January 8, 2026.
Key Points
Acute Respiratory Infections
In S01, ARI indicators remained generally stable, reflecting the reduced intensity of influenza and bronchiolitis outbreaks, although the situation varied across age groups.
Bronchiolitis
In S01, syndrome-based indicators related to bronchiolitis in children under 1 year of age are declining.
Influenza
In S01, indicators for influenza/influenza-like illness began to decline, following an epidemic peak in S52. This decrease is notably linked to the effect of school holidays and a decline in transmission among children under 15 during this period. The possibility of a resurgence of the epidemic in January cannot be ruled out.
COVID-19
In S01, COVID-19 indicators remain at a low level, both in primary care and in hospitals.
