Summary

MartiniqueOver the past eight weeks, epidemiological indicators for dengue and chikungunya have remained stable and well below the maximum values expected for the season. No outbreaks have been identified during this period. The epidemiological situation continues to correspond to Phase 1 of the Psage*: “sporadic transmission.”

Epidemiological indicators collected by the surveillance system show that Zika virus circulation remains very low. This situation corresponds to Phase 1 of the Psage*: “sporadic transmission.” Nevertheless, as part of the surveillance of the Zika epidemic and its delayed health impact, all brain abnormalities detected before and after birth are still being closely monitored.

GuadeloupeThe epidemiological situations for dengue and chikungunya are calm in Guadeloupe. Both viruses are circulating very sporadically. The situation still corresponds to Phase 1 of the Psage* for these two arboviruses in Guadeloupe: "sporadic transmission."

In Guadeloupe, since the end of March, epidemiological surveillance indicators have shown sporadic viral circulation. This situation corresponds to Phase 1 of the Psage*: "sporadic transmission."Nevertheless, as part of the surveillance of the Zika epidemic and its delayed health impact, all brain abnormalities detected before and after birth are still being closely monitored. Sixteen brain malformations have been identified via ultrasound, and to date, five children have been born with clinical microcephaly.

Saint Martin: Surveillance indicators for dengue and chikungunya have remained at low levels in recent weeks. The epidemiological situation for these two arboviral diseases in Saint Martin continues to correspond to Phase 1 of the Psage*: “sporadic transmission.”

The epidemic has ended in Saint Martin since week 2016-52, and epidemiological indicators have continued to decline since that date. The situation corresponds to Phase 1 of the Psage*: “sporadic transmission.”

Saint-BarthélemyIn Saint-Barthélemy, epidemiological indicators show very low circulation of the dengue and chikungunya viruses. The epidemiological situation corresponds to Phase 1 of the Psage* for these two arboviral diseases in Saint-Barthélemy: "sporadic transmission."
