Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation

The epidemic continues on the island of Cayenne and in western French Guiana, and viral circulation is intensifying in the municipality of Apatou. On Tuesday, October 14, the management committee approved the transition to Phase 3 of the Psage, corresponding to an epidemic situation for the coastal municipalities stretching from Saint-Laurent-du-Maroni to Roura. The other municipalities remained in Phase 2b, corresponding to moderate local transmission of the virus with epidemic outbreaks and local chains of transmission.
