Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation

Influenza activity has intensified in French Guiana during the first two weeks of March. The entire territory is affected by this phenomenon, which marks the start of a new seasonal influenza epidemic with the concurrent circulation of Influenza B and A/H1N1pdm2009 viruses. Hospital activity related to this influenza epidemic is increasing but remains moderate to date.
