Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation

During the month of April, the dengue epidemic continued throughout French Guiana. The decrease in the number of clinically suggestive cases and biologically confirmed cases observed during the first two weeks of April did not hold: the figures recorded during the following two weeks remained high and close to the peaks reached in late March.Serotypes DEN-1, DEN-2, DEN-3, and DEN-4 are co-circulating, with a strong predominance of serotype DEN-2.
