Dengue Surveillance in Martinique. Update as of March 26, 2021
Key Points
All dengue surveillance indicators are at low levels in both community practice and hospital settings. The Technical Committee for Dengue Monitoring, which met on February 12, proposed—with a majority of members in favor—a transition to Phase 5 of the Psage* Dengue Martinique protocol: end of the epidemic, return to normal. This proposed phase change will be submitted for approval to the management team, which is expected to meet shortly.
Nevertheless, it is important to remain vigilant and continue implementing preventive measures (destruction of larval breeding sites, personal protection with repellents, use of mosquito nets and electric fly swatters) to ensure a smooth transition out of the epidemic phase.
