Individual surveillance

  • 170 biologically confirmed cases from March 5 to April 22, 2020

Community-based surveillance

  • SOS Médecins: 407 cases of suspected COVID-19 per 10,000 cases (compared to 382 in S15*)

  • Sentinelles Network: 72 (tele)consultations for acute respiratory infections per 100,000 inhabitants

Surveillance in long-term care facilities, including nursing homes

  • 4 possible cases linked to COVID-19 were reported as of April 2, 2020

Hospital surveillance

  • Hospital laboratories: 5.7% of tests positive in Week 16* (6.1% in Week 15*)

  • ICU/intensive care units: 47% of cases aged 65 and older, and 67% of cases with at least one risk factor

Mortality surveillance

  • No excess mortality from all causes and across all age groups detected through week S16

*W/W-1: for week W (April 13–19, 2020) and week W-1 (April 6–12, 2020)
