  • Over the past 4 weeks, 10 of the 12 confirmed cases were infected locally in Guadeloupe and 6 of the 7 in Saint Martin (autochthonous/secondary). No cases in Saint Barthélemy.

  • Sentinelles Network: stable with an estimated 181 (tele)consultations for acute respiratory infections (ARI) in Guadeloupe (S18*; 132 in S17*), 8 in Saint Martin (S18*, 4 in S16*), and 0 (tele)consultations for ARI in Saint Barthélemy (S18*; 2 in S17*). A single case attributable to COVID-19 in S18* in Guadeloupe.

  • A single biologically confirmed case in private practice in S18*

Surveillance in long-term care facilities, including nursing homes

  • 8 possible cases reported (none confirmed) in 3 long-term care facilities, including 1 hospitalization as of 04/21/2020

Hospital surveillance

  • Oscour® Network: 11 visits for suspected Covid-19 in Guadeloupe (Week 18*, 35 in Week 17*), one visit in Saint Martin (Week 18*, 0 in Week 17*), and 0 visits in Saint Barthélemy (Week 18*)

  • Hospital laboratories: no new positive cases identified last week (W18*) and a decrease in the positivity rate over the past three weeks

  • ICU/intensive care units: 65% of patients aged 65 and older and 62% with at least one risk factor in Guadeloupe, and 33% of patients aged 65 and older and 83% with at least one risk factor in Saint Martin

Mortality surveillance

  • No excess mortality detected in Guadeloupe through week S17*
