Extreme Heat, Heat Wave 

• A second heatwave hit the region, beginning in Burgundy on July 7 and then spreading to Franche-Comté on July 9. Nièvre and Yonne were placed under a red heat wave alert from July 11 to 14. Since July 15, all eight departments in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté have been under an orange heat wave alert.
• Use of healthcare services:
  • Decrease in emergency room visits, though not yet back to normal;
  • Increase in outpatient visits.
