• In the Indian Ocean region, the number of emergency department visits for asthma among children under 15 increased in week 34 (the week of the start of the school year in Réunion) compared to week 33. The proportion of cases also rose (6% in week 34 vs. 3% in week 33) and was at a level comparable to that of previous years.

• Nationally, asthma-related visits among children under 15 were stable at SOS Médecins clinics and slightly higher in emergency departments (+7%, or +40 visits) compared to the previous week. Activity rates within the SOS Médecins network and in emergency departments remained at low levels comparable to those of previous years.
