Week 34:

• In the Indian Ocean region, following a school week in Réunion and two days in Mayotte, emergency room visits for asthma among children under 15 are on the rise (+85%, or 34 more visits) and account for 6% of emergency room activity for this age group. Of the 74 visits, 30% (or 22 visits) resulted in hospitalization.

• Nationally, asthma-related visits among children remain stable in both healthcare networks.
