High blood pressure: reported prevalence, screening, and treatment. Santé publique France Health Barometer: results from the 2024 edition

In 2024, 22% of adults aged 18 to 79 reported having high blood pressure (HBP). Three-quarters of adults reported having had their blood pressure checked at least once in the past year. People with the lowest levels of education are twice as likely to report having HTN as those with the highest levels of education. One in four people who report having high blood pressure are not receiving antihypertensive treatment.
