Vaccination campaign in Mayotte: more than 19,000 children seen and 11,100 vaccinated

Through June 30, 2018, Santé publique France and the Indian Ocean Regional Health Agency are conducting a large-scale vaccination campaign for children under the age of 6 to reduce the risk of an epidemic. Throughout the campaign, families are encouraged to visit the temporary vaccination centers set up for this purpose. After several weeks, attendance at the vaccination centers remains high, demonstrating strong family participation in the vaccination campaign regardless of the centers’ locations on the island. An epidemiological update is published weekly, providing a status report on the situation.
