Call for Applications for the Selection of a National Center for Physical Activity Promotion / Combating Sedentary Lifestyles
Call for Applications for the Selection of a National Center for Physical Activity Promotion / Combating Sedentary Lifestyles
Identifying validated, evidence-based interventions and creating the conditions for their implementation is a key priority for Santé publique France as part of its mission to provide expertise and support to stakeholders. To support the implementation of local projects aimed at increasing physical activity and reducing sedentary behavior, Santé publique France drew on the Icaps study (Intervention among middle school students focused on physical activity and sedentary behavior) conducted by Professor Simon from 2002 to 2006 in the Bas-Rhin school district. Santé publique France implemented an initial phase of deployment and knowledge transfer from the Icaps study across 15 pilot sites between 2011 and 2015.
Following this initial deployment phase, Santé publique France is issuing a call for applications to select a National Center for the Deployment of Physical Activity / Combating Sedentary Lifestyles (CND AP/S), which will be responsible for supporting the implementation of projects to promote physical activity among children and youth based on the Icaps approach.
CND AP/S Missions:
Advocate for the Icaps approach among partners likely to implement these initiatives and relevant decision-makers
Develop the skills of field-level actors through training
Assess the conditions for project implementation
Promote the projects
