Santé publique France is inviting applications from qualified individuals to form the committee responsible for selecting the team that will manage the new registry of congenital anomalies. Find out all the details on how to apply.
As part of its surveillance activities, Santé publique France is required to establish bodies or committees composed of qualified individuals from outside the Agency to support the implementation of its work program.
Following the publication of a call for proposals to create a registry of congenital anomalies in July 2020, Santé publique France is issuing a call for applications from qualified individuals to form the committee responsible for selecting the team that will manage this new registry.
Application Guidelines
The application package (in French or English) must include:
a cover letter providing professional and personal contact information, an email address, and a cell phone number1;
a resume;
a list of works/publications related to public health missions/activities;
a public declaration of interests (DPI) to be completed on the DPI SANTE ministerial portal, accessible by clicking here
Non-French-speaking candidates will be contacted by the agency to assist them in completing their DPI.
The application must be submitted by January 15, 2021, to the following address: candidatures_cs_AAP_malf_cong@santepubliquefrance.fr
Only complete applications will be considered.
Applications will be selected by a jury convened by the Agency, based on the information provided in the cover letter, the candidates’ alignment with the required skills, and an analysis of conflicts of interest. The selection committee will ensure that the essential skills required for the committee to fully carry out its duties are represented within its ranks, and that gender parity and multidisciplinary expertise are taken into account during the selection process.
Declarations of interest will be reviewed by Santé publique France’s Internal Ethics Committee.
Candidates will be notified of the outcome of the review of their application via email.
The goal is to recruit individuals whose skills and experience will enable the selection committee to conduct a collective and comprehensive analysis of the applications received, evaluate their quality using a standardized evaluation grid developed in consultation with the members, and rank the applications to ultimately identify the winner of the call for proposals.
The specific skills sought in members relate to the fields of:
perinatal care, particularly expertise in obstetrics and gynecology, midwifery, and pediatrics
genetics
fetopathology
epidemiology, particularly environmental epidemiology or pharmacoepidemiology,
knowledge of how registries operate (for congenital anomalies or other conditions), and, where applicable, experience in establishing or evaluating a registry.
Travel and subsistence expenses are reimbursed in accordance with the terms and conditions applicable to civilian government employees.
Compensation for loss of income in the case of self-employed individuals, as well as compensation for time spent attending meetings and for work performed, will be provided in accordance with the schedule established by the Board of Directors of Santé publique France.
