Survival Rates for People with Cancer in Metropolitan France, 1989–2018 - Sarcoma

In France, the estimated number of sarcoma cases in 2018 was 5,294, including 2,658 in men and 2,636 in women. Key points: 5-year age-standardized net survival of 61% for people diagnosed between 2010 and 2015; Prognosis varies significantly by age, with 5-year age-standardized net survival ranging from 75% in people aged 30 at diagnosis to 50% in people aged 80; Improvement in 1-year and 5-year age-standardized net survival (+11 and +17 percentage points, respectively) between 1990 and 2015; Improvement in net survival for all age groups between 1990 and 2015.
