Survival of Cancer Patients in Metropolitan France, 1989–2018 – Small Intestine

In France, in 2018, the estimated number of new cases of small intestine cancer was 1,746, 56% of which were in men. Key points: 5-year age-standardized survival rate of 57% for cases diagnosed between 2010 and 2015; Improvement in age-standardized survival of 13 percentage points at 1 year and 14 percentage points at 5 years between 1990 and 2015; An 18-percentage-point increase in 1-year standardized net survival among people aged 80 compared with an 8-percentage-point increase among those aged 50, from 1990 to 2015.
