Health in Action, September 2013, No. 425: Interventional Public Health Research: When Researchers and Field Practitioners Work Together

Interventional research is a largely misunderstood concept that can be of great value in public health. It involves bringing researchers together with those implementing initiatives on the ground to collaboratively develop the most relevant and effective interventions. Some thirty experts present the current state of knowledge and practical case studies. Also featured are two surveys: one on psychological distress related to hearing loss, and the other on the use of psychoactive substances in the workplace.
