The section on behavioral aspects of adolescent health begins with an interview with Prof. Deschamps, President of the CFES. He addresses the fundamental issue of communication between adolescents and adults—specifically, the professionals with whom adolescents interact to discuss their problems. A new approach to health communication through theater, based on interactivity, is presented. The sensitive issue of addiction and young people’s views on smoking, alcohol, and drug use is also explored and supplemented by data from a European survey, which also addresses sexuality. A summary of an ethnological study commissioned by the CFES describes adolescents’ sexual behaviors and outlines the psychosocial factors involved.
