The French Union for Oral Health is the professional organization for the dental profession, whose primary mission is to lead and coordinate initiatives aimed at preventing oral health issues and promoting oral health. It relies on a large network of dentists organized at the departmental and regional levels. For over forty years, these professionals have been working outside their dental practices to provide preventive care in schools, nursing homes, daycare centers, hospitals, prisons, and other settings. These “field-based” initiatives help better understand the health needs of the population and improve professional practice and patient care in the dental office.
