Every four years, the HBSC survey is conducted among middle school students in forty-one countries, including France. The 2010 survey has just been published and confirms the growing use of new technologies among adolescents. While these technologies do not necessarily hinder social integration, they are dangerously eating into sleep time, particularly among ninth-grade students. Surprisingly, two-thirds of middle school students view their schooling positively, and the same proportion participates in sports outside of school.
