Social-emotional skills: definition and current state of knowledge.
The ability to solve problems, communicate effectively, be self-aware and aware of others, and manage one’s emotions: these are just a few of the psychosocial skills (PSS) that people possess. Over the past thirty years, numerous prevention programs based on the development of these skills have been implemented around the world. PSCs are recognized as a key determinant of health and well-being, one that can be effectively addressed through intervention. However, this type of intervention has only been implemented relatively recently in France.
