People living with HIV: A survey on gaps in care.
An anthropological study led by COREVIH in Aquitaine sheds light on why some people living with HIV discontinue their treatment. Thirty-six patients were interviewed, and medical consultations were observed at six hospitals in the region. The study highlights the fact that inadequate care is a major factor in this discontinuation, driven by discouragement and a desire to distance oneself from a divisive medical approach.
