Pedestrian paths in the Geneva landscape.

Designing cities with pedestrians in mind improves the quality of life and encourages physical activity. In Switzerland, Geneva and other municipalities have implemented a "master plan for pedestrian paths." They identified obstacles and then established a network of paths that ensure pedestrian safety. While mandatory in Geneva, this plan is yet to be implemented across all municipalities.
