What common ground exists between community education and health education? In Gironde, a survey of professionals working in recreational and childcare facilities for children and youth identified the areas of overlap between the two movements—particularly their shared values—which call for closer collaboration in practice. To achieve this, it is particularly important to better train professionals in a holistic approach to youth health. Health education and popular education thus converge on the concept of health promotion. Projects are also emerging in the field of popular education, offering new opportunities.
