Anne Tursz, a pediatrician, epidemiologist, and research director at Inserm, wrote the foreword to the book *Violence and Health in France: A Current Assessment*. She discusses this work and calls, in particular, for a survey that would directly interview children. She also explains why there is still a long way to go before violence is properly addressed.
