Environments that Promote Healthy Eating: Current Status and Recommendations.
The environment plays a major role in our food choices, either encouraging or discouraging them. For example, in the United States, the ban on soda in schools has led to a decline in its consumption. Researchers in Quebec have proposed a vision and analysis of environments conducive to healthy eating. It is possible to influence various types of environments (physical, political, etc.) in ways that facilitate healthy food choices and make less healthy choices more difficult.
