At the request of the WHO (World Health Organization), the authors wrote a book titled "Comics and Health: A Medical History of the Comic Strip" (Editions Frison Roche, Presses du CNRS, 1992), which they discuss in this article. They provide an overview of the approach that involves using the most popular media to convey health information and promote prevention.
