Decoding advertising stereotypes in school.

At a school in the Clermont-Ferrand area, teachers and instructors are helping children ages 8 to 11 develop a critical eye toward advertising. The goal is to make them aware of the stereotypes conveyed in advertising. Self-assertion, respect for others, and respect for one’s own body have led to a very positive assessment of improvements in student behavior within the school.
