The 108 local—departmental and regional—health education committees have, with the support of the CFES, developed a shared culture and collaborative initiatives over the past few years, with both successes and limitations. The creation of the INPES in 2002 eliminated the CFES’s role in coordinating the network of committees; the National Federation of Committees now fulfills this role.
