Caring for a loved one: the many consequences for the caregiver.

The caregiver and the care recipient form a "pair." The caregiver's support of their loved one affects their social life. The necessary consideration of the caregiver’s social participation leads us here to examine the complexity of their role and the variations in their experience of caring for their elderly parent. From negative to positive, this ranges from the detrimental impact on the caregiver to the satisfaction they may feel.
