In Aubagne, older adults were consulted about their expectations and needs prior to the development of a municipal policy and action plan for seniors. Many seniors specifically highlighted their difficulties getting around. The municipality therefore put a specially adapted minibus into service. A municipal team of five professionals, including a nurse, supported by the mail carrier, is launching a prevention plan in 2018 to identify the most isolated individuals; among other things, they will be offered outings to help rebuild local social connections.
