Compared to the two previous seasons, 2013–14 and 2014–15, the 2015–2016 bronchiolitis outbreak was:

  1. earlier,

  2. more widespread, resulting in a higher number of hospitalizations,

  3. though with a lower proportion of hospitalized cases,

  4. with a typical regional spread, affecting the North first and then the South.
