Use of psychoactive substances and the workplace. Results of the 2017 Santé publique France Barometer

An analysis of data from the 2017 Santé publique France Barometer reveals significant disparities across economic sectors regarding the use of psychoactive substances. Among employed men in the agriculture, forestry, and fishing sectors, as well as in construction and real estate, the reported use of legal drugs (tobacco and alcohol) is more frequent than the average. Among all employed individuals (men and women) in the accommodation and food services sector, and the arts, entertainment, and recreation sector, reported use of both legal and illegal drugs is more frequent than the average.
