  • The epidemic began about a month earlier than in previous seasons

  • Recent end of the previous epidemic (October 2021) with higher viral circulation than in previous years during the inter-epidemic phase

  • Significant increase in all indicators in S06:

    • 47 emergency department visits recorded in Week 6;

    • increased activity related to bronchiolitis among private practitioners;

    • increase in the number of hospitalizations following an emergency department visit (23 in Week 6);

    • Stabilization of the number of biologically confirmed RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) cases at a high level of circulation in the region.
