Key Points

COVID-19

  • In Week 42 of 2022, virological indicators were down compared to the previous week: a positivity rate of 23.3% (-1.7 percentage points compared to Week 41), incidence rate of 376 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (-14%), and testing rate of 1,615 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (-8%). At the regional level, these indicators were decreasing across all age groups.

  • The R value estimated from regional SI-DEP data through 10/22/2022 was 0.88 (0.87–0.89), down from the previous week (1.17).

Gastroenteritis and Acute Diarrhea

  • Low activity in private practice (SOS Médecins) and low in hospital settings (Oscour® network).

Bronchiolitis

  • 3rd week of the epidemic.

  • Oscour® network: visits and hospitalizations for a diagnosis of bronchiolitis in children under 2 years of age were on the rise compared to the previous week.

  • SOS Médecins: procedures for a diagnosis of bronchiolitis in children under 2 years of age were on the rise compared to the previous week. In week 42-2022, 39 procedures for the diagnosis of bronchiolitis in children under 2 years of age were recorded, representing 11.9% of the overall activity of SOS Médecins associations in this age group (28 procedures in week 41-2022).
